25 Years and Counting - Share 2014!
Recently, WBNH celebrated 25 years of broadcasting! We’re certainly thankful for the blessings God has presented us over the years. "25 Years and Counting" was the theme for our recent Share 2014. Share was indeed a success. And we're not just talking about the numbers we posted above. Yes, we need God's provision in order to thrive on the air. And 90% of our goal is a blessing in these days of a "down" economy. But, Share is more than numbers.
Share is a single time of the year when we set aside our regularly scheduled daytime programming in order to bring the monetary needs of the radio station to our listeners. Share is also a celebration of our family - the immediate staff and Board of Directors at WBNH...but ALSO our listening family. Without the support, in many ways, from our listeners, Share would be most hollow.
One look in the recent news will uncover all types of attacks on the Christian community. We also read about some of the rights of citizens being compromised. Like the right to worship as we choose. And then there is an economy that does not improve. But, God continues to be faithful and that is because of the supporters of this ministry. We are amazed at how many continue to step forward each year to support His radio station.
Again, this year, many stepped forward to pledge support of their radio station. And we also want to thank those of you who stopped by! And we can't overlook those who pledged support for WBNH by way of their prayers. All of the above made our Share 2014 a huge success!
Perhaps you were unable to take part in Share 2014. That's okay. :) We still value your partnership! You can still click here to make an on-line donation or call us for more information at 309/636-8850. With God’s provision, we hope to serve Him via the airwaves, our hand-held mobile apps and our website…. for another 25 years and beyond!
Damaris Carbaugh in Concert May 2 in Groveland (near Morton)
You have probably heard her beautiful voice on WBNH and maybe have been privileged to see her in concert. We are again pleased to invite you to hear Damaris Carbaugh sing once more at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Friday evening, May 2. Damaris is making her fourth trip back to central Illinois by popular demand! We love her voice, her heart and her ministry and we’re not alone. Here are just some of the accolades many have made regarding this beautiful voice of God:
- Damaris is the best preaching singer I have ever heard, and the best singing preacher I have ever heard!
–Alistair Begg, Truth For Life
- Damaris reflects both in her music and her life the beauty and grace of a woman who knows her God, and who passionately desires to share Him with others.
-Dr. Tony Evans, The Urban Alternative
- Every time I hear Damaris, my heart is freshly inspired with a deeper love for my Lord.
-Ravi Zacharias, President, RZIM, Host of Just Thinking
Tickets on sale beginning April 4th at the WBNH studios, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, or online here. We hope to see you there!
New Programs on Sundays Evenings
Some great additions are now heard on WBNH Sunday evenings! Beginning at 5:30pm, join host Wayne Shepherd for "First Person", an opportunity to hear testimonies firsthand, learning how God works through people to build His Kingdom. Then, at 7:00pm Pastor Tim Harkness of Harvest Bible Chapel Peoria encourages us wholly surrendered to God during the program "Completely His". And later, at 7:30 Sunday evening, join Anne Graham Lotz for "Living In The Light", and get to know God personally, intimately...as His friend - living in the light of His Word.
Again, a huge THANK-YOU to you, our dear friend, for standing with us sharing the Good News in 2014. We are most grateful for your partnership!
