Nairobi Pastor "feeds" people for Christ

Nov 14, 2017 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Nairobi Pastor to speak at Midwest Food Bank, Morton Division

Over the past year, Midwest Food Bank’s East Africa Division has supplied over 270 tons of Tender Mercies to Kenya’s drought stricken rural counties. This has been accomplished in partnership with some of Nairobi’s leading Christian churches, who sent mission teams to proclaim the gospel with each food shipment. The drought is entering it’s third year and some areas have had no rain at all in more than a year, leaving as much as 10% of Kenya’s population at risk of starvation.

Pastor Hamisi Kirenga, Missions Pastor of Nairobi’s Ridgeways Baptist Church - and himself a converted Muslim - will be speaking at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14 at the Morton Midwest Food Bank to thank supporters and discuss how teams from Ridgeways used food distribution to provide desperately needed relief and bring hundreds of people to accept Christ.

Please contact the Morton Division at 291-0900 to reserve a free ticket to the event.

Location: Midwest Food Bank, Morton Division, 700 Erie Ave. Morton, Illinois 61550
