World Day of Prayer is an ecumenical celebration of informed prayer and prayerful action. Join us in prayer service written by the women of France and encouraging welcome for migrant people worldwide.
This service is sponsored by Church Women United of Peoria Area and will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 10720 N. Knoxville Ave. March 1 at 9:30 a.m. For more information contact Doris Weyeneth, 691-2451.
Women, men, and children in more than 170 countries and regions will celebrate World Day of Prayer. The women of France, this year's writer-country have chosen the theme "I was a stranger and you welcomed me." It is in response to a world wide ecumenical movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday of March and was founded on the idea that prayer and action are inseparable in the service of God's kingdom.
