Chris Fabry Live "Remembering Mike Kellogg"
Beloved WBNH voice for 26 years...
Remembering the life and legacy of Mr. Mike Kellogg of Moody Radio. Long time host of Music Thru the Night and he helped WBNH starting with our very first Share event in 1990 up until his retirement in 2014. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Nancy and their children.
Michael S. Kellogg, 81 of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born on September 26, 1941 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Georgia (Lyman) Kellogg. He graduated from Cass High School in Detroit, MI and Cedarville College in Cedarville, OH. Mike made his career in ministry as a radio program host for Moody Bible Institute and was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Chesterton. If you happened upon his radio program, you would be welcomed with a soothing voice saying, “hello, good friend” and hear the phrase, “have a great day, a great day indeed.” Mike was fond of clocks and was always on the hunt for a good deal. He will be lovingly remembered for his off-the-wall sense of humor, pride in his work, and above all, love for his family.
On August 14, 1965, Michael married Nancy Smith, who survives, along with their children: Heidi (Emilio) Good, Stephen Kellogg, Adam Kellogg, Kristin (Kyle) Jordan, Cindy (Brian) Wolters, and Robbie (Lydia) Kellogg; brother, Pat Kellogg; grandchildren: Cordelia, Emilio, Zachary, Sebastian, Sandy, Colin, Maya, Sarah Jane, Haele (Wyatt), Payton, Michaela, Sam (Macey), Grace, Rosie, Emma, Theo, Nancy, Raven, and Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Georgia; and brother, Cliff Kellogg.
A visitation will be held on July 5, 2023 from 10:00 – noon at Liberty Bible Church, 824 N. Calumet Ave., Chesterton, with a service starting at noon.
